Environmental sustainability is a strategic pillar of SR Technics and its service portfolio. By extending the engine life cycle and delivering best-in-class on-wing performance, SR Technics contributes to the optimized use of resources for its customers and limits the environmental impact of airline operations.
SR Technics is pursuing a comprehensive sustainability strategy with the following main objectives:
- 15% CO2 reduction in Scope 1 and 2 by 2025 (from 2019)
- Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050
Highlights of SR Technics Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Actions
Committed to achieving Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050 at the latest, SR Technics is taking the next step by targeting a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025, compared to 2019 levels. At the same time, a decarbonization roadmap is under development that will also consider emissions throughout the whole value chain (Scope 3).
By continuously introducing new repair capabilities to avoid scrap and promoting the re-use of engine parts, SR Technics strongly contributes to a circular economy in aviation and beyond. Generated waste is directed either to recycling or to combusting through waste-to-energy, scrap material from aircrafts and engines is directed to a specific recycling process to facilitate its reuse in the aviation industry.
