SR Technics appoints Norbert Hoffmann as Chief Information Officer
SR Technics, one of the world’s leading providers of technical services for airlines, has appointed Norbert Hoffmann as Chief Information Officer as of May 1, 2015. He takes over this position from Martin Koch, who had been managing the IT department on a temporary basis. Koch will now continue his successful work in his original
position as Head of Business Applications. Hoffmann will report directly to CEO André Wall and he will be part of the Leadership Team.
In this function, Hoffmann will develop the strategic alignment of IT and move ahead with important IT projects in support of SR Technics’ business strategy. These projects include adjustments to IT governance, IT processes and systems so that they are in line with the current and future requirements of a global maintenance provider.
Before joining SR Technics, Hoffmann was the CEO and owner of Align IT GmbH and he held various mandates as an external IT advisor. He has also worked as the Head of IT or of IT departments for companies such as Alpiq Management AG, Swiss Life and UBS.
As an IT professional with many years of management experience in an international environment, Hoffmann is an expert in implementing strategic IT projects. He received his degree in IT studies from the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany and then went on to study Executive Management at the IMD in Lausanne and at the Harvard Business School in Boston.
