SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, hosted a special event with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) in Zurich in May to introduce the new upgraded SAS cabin experience. About fifty travelers arrived in Zurich to learn more about the new cabins and visit the SR Technics facilities.

Travelers are increasingly expecting new levels of services and comfort when they fly, which means there is a need to upgrade the cabin experience more frequently. In late 2014, SAS teamed up with SR Technics to enhance the cabin experience of its Airbus 330-300 and 340-300 aircraft, and the two companies have completed a total of eleven refurbishments to date.

During the special event, guests had a unique opportunity to discover a SAS Airbus 340-300, which will offer an enhanced travel experience. Once completed, the refurbished cabins come in new attractive colors with improved ergonomic seats, pleasant lighting, upgraded inflight entertainment systems and new WiFi capacity, making it even more convenient to fly.

SR Technics CEO Jeremy Remacha welcomed the guests to Zurich and said: “The close cooperation between SAS and SR Technics teams has made this project successful, ensuring that aircraft were delivered on time. This is tremendously important, both for us and the airline, as it is our shared interest and responsibility to ensure that travelers can enjoy their journeys without unnecessary disruptions.”

SAS’s Group Purchasing Director Annika Dalsvall added: “Our partnership with SR Technics delivers clear value to SAS but even more importantly, to our customers, who will now benefit from quality interiors and the best-in-class inflight entertainment systems when they fly in SAS’s most prestigious aircraft.”
